Why Join KEMPA?

• Your publication can be evaluated by a judge who will give positive feedback about things you executed very well and areas where the publication needs some work to improve it.
• You can attend the Fall Conference at the member rate.
• Your journalists are eligible to compete for scholarships awarded to students who are continuing their education beyond high school in journalism or a journalism-related occupation.
• The KEMPA Update comes to you with KEMPA news and information impacting scholastic journalism.
• The KEMPA Hotline (names, addresses, phone and e-mail addresses) of Board members are yours for reference in times of crisis (or just a person with whom to talk over your journalism challenges).

How can my publication join KEMPA?

KEMPA has two types of memberships: School Publication and Professional.

• School Publication Memberships are for school sponsored yearbooks, newspapers, literary megazines, newsmagazines and other publications.
• Professional Memberships are designed for individuals associated with scholastic journalism companies/organizations (yearbook representatives, yearbook companies, etc.) or members of the electronic/print professional press (individual or as a publication).
